Shin Zushi USJ in Selangor

"Be warn that there will be long q!. So we arrived at 11.15am as they open at 11.30am. No number given out yet but we know we were 3rd in line. Once open, it filled up so quickly. Thats because their food are really tasty and excellent with Umami flavours! Our favourite authentic Japanese Restaurant that we always try to dine in. Just that the q just too long at times. Salmon salad portion are generous and pricing Very reasonable. Scallop with Mushroom cooked with butter was really tasty with “wok hei”. No regrets coming here. Only two of us, yet we ordered so much food ! Really worth it !"

"We arrived around 2:30 PM on a Saturday, and there were a few people waiting to be seated. However, the queue moved quite fast — we only waited about 15 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait! The sashimi slices were thick and fresh, and we were really satisfied. The only downside was that the seats near the door were a bit hot, but overall, it was a great experience."

"Update 02/26 - Came for lunch before noon to avoid the crowds. This time we tried their set meals. Definitely worth the price. Good portions. Quality cuts of sushi. Miso soup & chawanmushi were comforting. Very filling meal. Definitely one of the better Japanese joints around. 05/25: I can see why this chain does so well. Finally got to try it. Came soon after opening so no queue to contend with. Woody interior with cosy lighting. Quite cold inside. Friendly & welcoming staff. Quite affordable. Parking can be a pain being Taipan. We ordered quite a bit. Sashimi moriwase, 2 types of inari, tamago mentaiko, kitsune udon, chawanmushu rice set, hana sushi & anago eel. Decent sized. Some hits & misses. The sashimi cuts were huge & well worth the value. Tamago was good. Sushis & udon were average at best. Our lunch was okay. Wouldn't line up for it though. Wouldn't mind coming on a weekday as notice no queues for lunch. The lunch sets are tempting."

"Whenever I come to Shin Sushi, I always make sure to order the salmon sushi—it’s incredibly fresh and delicious. It’s also a great place for dining alone. Luckily, I didn’t visit during peak hours, so there was no waiting at all. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. Whenever I’m craving sushi or sashimi, Shin Sushi is always my go-to place."

"23.11.2025 visit . We tried the same strategy, we swing by at 11.30 am. And we got our seats quickly. When we were seated, there is some wierd smell ( smell like the staff mop floor or clean the floor with dirty mop or cloth. Kinda off putting smell) sigh. Nevertheless, we ordered our food . ____________________________ Finally got to try the food here two Sunday ago ! It has always been on our to- eat list but every time when we go, the queue is insane ! ( That shows how popular it is ! ) Anyway, we happen to pass by at 11.35 am. The staffs were ushering ppl in and we happily walk in tho we were not sure if we will get a table or not. Lol. We love our food - fresh and good! Reasonable pricing. We also ta pau ramen home. Staffs were attentive and pleasant. It wasn't ultra noisy but bearable. We see a lot of family dining here on a Sunday. Will be back again for sure. Will try popping by again at 11.30am the next time see if our trick work or not. Lol."

"my fav go-to for high quality sashimi bento sets! fresh, thick and generous portions. as a regular, i’m so glad to find this USJ branch which is nearer to me as we always drove to the one in Puchong. queue starts as early as 11am before it opens at 11:30am. normally it moves pretty fast as the staffs are very efficient. brought my whole family there today and everyone totally enjoyed the delish and sumptuous lunch sets. since discovering this japanese resto chain, no other can top it for me. highly reco!!!"

"Came on Sunday, 3:30pm. This place is still crowded, but there is no queue. Food is good. Sashimi were fresh. Service relatively fast considering that the restaurant is still crowded."

"Dropped by for dinner at 6pm. Not super long queue. We waited about 30 mins for our table. Just 2 of us. Food was good with reasonable price. And that’s why it’s always long queue. Worth for a short queue. There are some chairs and drinks for you while waiting for your table. Just ask the gal how long estimated waiting time."
